Our main office is an authentically restored antebellum townhouse in the Oakleigh Historic District of Alabama's Tricentennial city.  The Roberts-Taylor-Isbell House, on Mobile's  famous Government Street, a boulevard renowned for its oak trees and stately southern mansions.  Built in 1837 by Dr. Willis Roberts and substantially enlarged in 1854 by Joel Abbot Roberts, the 20-room, 7-bathroom Greek Revival townhouse is the oldest one its size in downtown Mobile.  Owned by two families during its 170 years, it retains much of its original furnishings and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Ongoing restoration and preservation is made possible  by the continued patronage and support by members of the Mobile Bar Association and the Alabama Bar Association.

Dr. Willis Roberts, secretary of Gov. William Wyatt Bibb, first governor of Alabama, was a member of a three-man panel that selected the site of the first capital, Cahawba.  Ran unsuccessfully for first State Treasurer.  1830-Superintendent of the City Hospital, overseeing its construction. 1835-Member of building committee of Barton Academy, the state's first public school, and probably that of Government Street Presbyterian Church.
